Reflecting on Wins, Building Momentum for the New Year: Twelve Days of Christmas- Day 11

🎄✨ Welcome to Day 11 of our 12 Days of Christmas Tips & Tricks!

As we approach the final days of this series, we want to focus on something foundational to success—celebrating wins. Recognizing milestones isn’t just about reliving the moment; it’s about building momentum and setting the stage for even greater things to come. At 8:28 Management, we’ve experienced a year of incredible growth, and we’re excited to share how celebrating our victories has ignited our planning for 2025.

Built on the Rock

This year, Kim and I celebrated an incredibly personal milestone: graduating from the Regeneration program at our church. We walked this journey of healing and transformation together, and it became the foundation of everything we do at 8:28 Management. The verse from Matthew 7:24-25 reminds us:

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”

Built on a Strong Foundation

Through this program, we rebuilt our lives on Christ, creating a firm foundation that gave us clarity and confidence to pursue God’s calling for us. This shift in mindset set us on a trajectory to launch our business and embrace the incredible journey of entrepreneurship.

Reflecting on Wins

The milestones we’ve achieved in 2024 are a testament to God’s faithfulness and our commitment to staying the course. Here are just a few of the highlights:

  • Obtaining Our LLC and EIN: The official creation of 8:28 Management LLC in May was a pivotal moment. It marked the beginning of turning a vision into a reality.

  • Launching Our Digital Presence: From creating our website to establishing a social media presence, we took the leap to share our story and services with the world.

  • Recording Our First TEDx Talk: Sharing our message on such a significant platform was a dream come true.

  • Writing a Chapter in an Upcoming Book: Collaborating with like-minded women to contribute to a book set for release in early 2025 was a meaningful milestone.

  • Onboarding Our First Client: Serving our first client was the tangible result of our hard work and faith.

  • Hosting Our First Masterclass: Sharing knowledge and helping others grow brought immense fulfillment.

  • Expanding Our Business Model: We’ve added service lines like social media marketing, website design, and executive coaching, adapting to meet the needs of our clients.

Each win, big or small, is a reason to celebrate. These moments remind us why we do what we do and fuel our passion for what lies ahead. Reflecting on wins, keeps us in a positive mindset which ensures we keep our eyes on the horizon.

Our Celebration Rituals

At 8:28, we’ve embraced the importance of celebrating our wins intentionally. Here’s how we do it:

  1. Acknowledgment and Gratitude:

    • We make it a point to discuss our victories, big and small, and offer prayers of gratitude for God’s guidance and provision.

  2. Reflection and Adjustment:

    • We review what worked and what didn’t to refine our approach for the next time.

  3. Sharing the Wins:

    • By sharing our achievements publicly, we’ve found encouragement not just for ourselves but also for our community. It energizes our passion to keep pushing forward.

  4. Action-Oriented Planning:

    • We’ve used our wins to create our action plan for 2025, focusing on what truly aligns with our mission and strengths.

Building Momentum for 2025

We believe in the teachings of Marcus Buckingham, who emphasizes the power of playing to your strengths. At 8:28, we’re not striving to be everything to everyone; instead, we aim to be excellent for some. This perspective has shaped our strategy as we:

  • Focus on mastering and expanding areas where we excel.

  • Commit to continuous learning to enhance our strengths.

  • Develop plans that are realistic yet ambitious, staying aligned with our core values.

As we look to 2025, we know challenges will come, but our mindset is firmly rooted in growth and faith. We’re prepared to pivot when necessary, remain true to our mission, and never lose sight of our ultimate destination.

Questions for Reflection

As you prepare for the new year, take a moment to reflect on your own journey:

  • What wins did you experience this year, and how did they shape your path?

  • How do you currently celebrate milestones, and how can you make this a consistent practice?

  • What lessons have you learned that will guide your goals for 2025?

  • How can you use your strengths to build momentum and drive success in the new year?

Conclusion: Celebrating with Purpose

Celebrating wins isn’t just about looking back; it’s about building momentum to move forward with clarity, purpose, and faith. At 8:28 Management, we’re committed to honoring the journey while keeping our eyes on the horizon.

To all our clients, partners, and supporters, thank you for being part of our story this year. We’re excited to see what 2025 holds and look forward to walking this path together.
